"Lotsa Cheese" Macaroni & Cheese

1 lb. macaroni, cooked 1/2 the time called for
1 lb. Velveeta, cubed
8 oz. Extra sharp cheddar, shredded
1 qt. milk
1/2 C butter, cut in chunks

Add all ingredients to crock pot and stir. Original recipe says cover and cook on high 3 hours, stir occasionally. I thought it was over-cooked.I cover and cook on high 1 hour, turn on low and cook an additional 2 hours or so,stir occasionally.

Have also used: Low fat Velveeta, low fat cheddar, non-fat milk, and margarine (used less than 1/2 cup). Tastes fine.
